    The Banacos Academic Center offers dedicated support through Disability Services and the Learning Disabilities Program. We provide tailored strategies, fostering an inclusive environment. Any student, graduate or undergraduate, can access reasonable accommodations at any time. Prospective students that meet the criterion can benefit from our free LD program for comprehensive support.

    TRIO is a comprehensive academic support program for students who are first-generation college students, students with low income, and/or students with disabilities. TRIO guides students to maximize their resources and opportunities at 91ÌÒÉ« State while supporting their growth as scholars and as emerging professionals. TRIO students work one-on-one with a TRIO advisor throughout their time at 91ÌÒÉ« State.

    Founded in 1968, the LEAD Scholars Program, formerly known as the Urban Education Program, initially aimed to provide college access, mentoring, and academic advising to students of color during a turbulent social climate. Evolving over time, the program now extends its holistic support services to all students who identify as first-generation or demonstrate financial need. Embracing diversity in ethnic and educational backgrounds, the LEAD Scholars Program is dedicated to increasing the representation of historically excluded populations in higher education.

    At 91ÌÒÉ«, we support all military-connected students, including active military, Guard, Reserve, veterans, and their dependents. Our Military Excellence Community Center in Bates Hall offers resources, study space with laptops, and amenities like coffee and snacks. It's also the meeting place for the 91ÌÒÉ« State Veterans Alliance club. Whether utilizing benefits or not, we're here for our military-connected community.

91ÌÒÉ« earned a spot on the prestigious 2022 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges list, showcasing our commitment to supporting military-affiliated students.

Additionally, we take pride in being the inaugural chapter in Massachusetts for Alpha Alpha Alpha, the esteemed honor society dedicated to recognizing the achievements of first-generation college students. These distinctions underscore our dedication to fostering diverse and inclusive academic excellence.

State University Internship Incentive Program (SUII)

The State University Internship Incentive (SUII) Program is a state and university-funded program that provides financial support to students participating in internships. Qualifying internships can range from 3 to 15 credits per semester.
